Patio Heaters Can Help You Get the Most Out of Your Patio

Patios are used extensively throughout summer but when winter comes, many people retreat inside the home. With a patio heater you will be able to enjoy the patio in warmth during the colder months and get much more use out of your backyard. Most are powered by electricity, propane or natural gas.

The portable versions of these heaters can be moved around the patio or backyard as you see fit. They can then be stored away when you are no longer using them. Most portable patio heaters are powered by gas and have a gas cylinder attached which you move with the heater. These types of heater usually heat a small area and are great for the colder months. Larger, commercial heaters are available if you need to heat a larger space.

Propane heaters are the most common patio heaters. They are cheap to operate and don't require electricity to power a fan. Natural gas heaters are similar to propane in both effectiveness and operation.

Table top patio heaters can also be used. These heaters sit on your table and heat the people seated around it. They can only heat a small area but can be great if this is all you need.

Electric heaters require an electrical socket but are effective on windy days and don't require a flammable heat source.

Not all patio heaters are portable. You can find some that attach to a wall, beam or ceiling. These are usually much larger and more effective heaters than their portable cousins and will require a gas line or electrical socket.
